The sweet story of
Hapa Honey -

It all started with my love of honey at age 10 learning in the neighbors bee hives. Then it restarted with Gavin’s love for honey—and his knack for turning friends into fans. In 3rd grade, he proudly introduced his classmates to the honey he was making with our bees.

But here’s the kicker: Gavin wasn’t just sharing the sweet stuff—he was selling it! He’d come home beaming, announcing, “I just made 20 bucks in profit!” Of course, there was a lesson in there somewhere about jar costs and labor, but his excitement was infectious and inspired us to think bigger. Now, his little brother Grady is following in his footsteps as our official Quality Control Officer. Grady takes his role seriously, tasting all

the different honeys and proudly declaring, “I’ve been keeping bees for more than half my life!” (He’s 9.) Thanks to Gavin, Grady got an early start in the honey game, and we couldn’t be prouder of our family operation. Now we farm and sell honey under our

brand Hapa Honey Farm.

 

We traded bulk buckets for fun jars and started spreading the sweetness far and wide. Now, across multiple acres of thriving bee yards, we carefully manage our bees. And thanks to Laurie’s push for the highest quality, we use only sustainable and organic

hive practices that keep the bees healthy and happy. After all, Happy Bees make Hapa Honey!
